Oh the 2600 whistle.. the forefather of the black box. And yes you could have saved money in the golden age of phreaking, but I really hate the geek in the movie the Core making a reference to it. To think that homely dude was a jeans model.

What is my prize?
Indeed, the captain crunch whistle, and that picture you quoted is actually the man himself (Captain crunch, or John Draper as his real name), you knew this ofcourse. It's just a very fitting picture. I was happy with my choice of picture and fitting words beneath it.

Ah.. the golden age, so much fun was had on the PSTN. (or so I assume). These days it's all DDOS and skiddies! Your prize it to tell a filling story, wise latch.
Captain Crunch? He is not the man. His blind friends discovered that they could send the tones down the phone lines, not him. I've never even heard them be mentioned.

Crunch is sitting in front of a Mac, sad.

What kind of beta logic leads to a self quote in an alternative third person? Especially considering the yard lacks the scope of the meter! Don't hurt your neck!

These posts have strayed from the original riddle.
Perhaps a hint that will add more confusion than bring clarity is required!

I never hurt my neck looking down.
We're still clueless.. Hmm.. This is gonna be so obvious
It'll be to do with talking, rather than physically using his tongue... But I'm not sure on the exact methodology
You did a commercial?..Yeah, I have no idea.
You told somebody how to recover their hard drive
