Problem with kmess hanging, then closing

On Linux, my MSN client of choice is kmess. I've been using it fine for around 6 months, if not more. But recently in the past 2 days whenever i open it, it just hangs, greys out, closes then prompts me with an error information style box.

It allows me to sign in but then straight after it closes.

Picture of it greying out.

We are sorry, KMess closed unexpectedly.
You can help us improve KDE Software by reporting this error.

Note: It is safe to close this dialog box if you do not want to report this bug.

Details:
Executable: kmess PID: 1991 Signal: 6 (Aborted)

I've Googled the error to no avail.

I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling - that didn't work.

I also tried an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade, to no avail.

I have no idea why it just stopped working, i can't remember changing anything.

Extra info

Qt: 4.6.2
KDE Development Platform: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
KMess: 2.0.3

According from the reply from a kmess development member, this problem will be fixed in 2.0.5.

Quote:A developer, set the status to closed (Solved), and wrote this
message to you:

This problem has been fixed in Git and will be released with KMess 2.0.5. Cheers.

I browsed to the kmess site, 2.0.5 has been released but not for Ubuntu. At first i tried 2.0.4 but the problem still exists, i also attempted to install from source but to no avail.

As a temp fix i've moved over to Emesene, (Different program).
