Full Version: Machine won't boot without a graphics card!

I finished my server build over the weekend, with it being a file server there's no need for a graphics card so I took it out - powered the system back on and sat with a command prompt open continuously try to ping it. "Why's it not coming online?"
Popped it back in, without a monitor attached and success.

Any ideas how to get it to power up without a card?

Just put an old pci one in there!

That's what I've had to do. I don't like graphics cards in my servers! The Latch does not know a way around this?!1 :cry
I've never seen a computer run without a video card- I'm pretty sure the bios demands it. I have run them with no kb or mouse but even then you have to let the bios know that's what you want. Maybe if you can reverse engineer your bios..
