I am looking for a super cheap, Mini ITX case without a power supply. The AT*IONT-I is a range that comes with it's own Power Supply. I am going to be turning it into my Media Client (I ain't waiting until 2011 for a Google TV) It is fanless, I'm not sure if this makes any difference to the casing I need, I have no personal experience with building such things. I was just wondering if any of you had any ideas of what I could use to protect this thing from little kids (Other than the obvious electric wiring of course)
Nice and easy

Wooden box, hinge, lock, suspended motherboard and HDD mounts to stop vibrations

I think Drumm was after a pre-made case. I'm in the same game as i'm after one for my *upcoming* file server build. May have a poke around at the weekend.
But the thing is Mark, you want yours to be custom made

All you need is one fan as intake and you're sorted... The only problem is for yours Mark, you need more bays than most mITX cases provide, unless you get an mATX one and mod that.

On a sidenote Drumm, http://www.mini-itx.com has a store, they're your best bet other than making your own
I am not interested in making my own. I did check out the Mini ITX store, but if you notice, all of their cases come with a built in power supply.
Dammit, I thought a couple were...

That do?
After having a look round, most of the.. i won't say low end because they're not but the cheaper cases seem to have built in power supplies for some reason. Could it not be kept as a spare? Any reason you specifically don't want one?

Amongst my research i've also noticed that there are two different types, the more boxed shape and then a more rectangle shape. Any preference?

I seem to lean towards the box shape for some reason but it depends what you're after so i've thrown in a few rectangle ones. :happy

The cheapest i've seen is £28.

1) £28.16

The reasoning behind getting rid of a PSU was simply to make the case cheaper.
It would seem that all of the cheaper cases have PSUs bundled with them. Usually the situation with ATX as well.
