Google working with Samaritans to curve suicide.

Google have teamed up with the Samaritans to make a new feature that will show the charity's phone number every time someone searches for something related to suicide.

The helpline number will appear next to a red telephone symbol as the first result in the list offering a friendly "Need help?" whenever a user searches terms such as "suicide" and "commit suicide".

It is hoped that the move will prevent vulnerable people from accessing "dangerous" information.

Google's UK managing director Matt Brittin Wrote:People turn to the internet for information and advice all the time.

I just had to give it a go, let's hope the support squad don't come!

Not them. Half of them are idiots who lie to cheer you up
That's their job. I hope people don't start using Bing for suicide tips, they'll get all the wrong info!
I remember telling them about my perfect suicide plan.
Samaritan was speechless.

Good times
And now the men in white scrubs are taking me away..

Thanks Mark!
