In the UK, I have just received word that finally, 9 days after promised date, T-Mobile & Orange turned on the signal sharing feature. For those of you who haven't heard, it allows T-Mobile users to access Orange signal where none is available on T-Mobile and vice versa at no extra cost. I myself have seen a huge boost from this feature, living behind a hill that blocks signal to my house from T-Mobile, I now get Edge (3G's little brother) in my bedroom. I'm impressed with this. What does disappoint me is the fact I cannot use Orange 3G and the fact I needed to sign up for it. Surely T-Mobile should turn it on by default, although it may come enabled with any new numbers. I'm not sure. Overall I am impressed with the idea, and it's going to be nice to get signal in my room :tongue

I skimmed over an article about this in the Metro the other day. It seems like a good idea although like you say i've heard a few people complaining about 3G not being enabled or something. I used to be on Orange for a few years infact, now i'm on T-Mobile and have always received 3/4 bars of signal where i am.
At the end of the day, I'd rather have signal from Orange than not. Edge is quick enough for me, as I never have 3G enabled anyway.
I wish AT&T would do something like this here in the USA. I really hate having to use someone elses phone to text in class. -.-
