I spotted it straight away, first person to see the fail in this job post, gets rep

Also, I've been searching for jobs since 7pm, looked on practically every site you can think of and I've found about 5 I can do. Damn my lack of a Forklift certificate, driver's license, HGV/PCV licence and experience in any field other than sales.
It's in Leeds?
And you have to be able to use *Vista*
Job Type is "Permanent"
IT'S ALL A FAIL!!1!!!one!!
No Telephone or Fax numbers? 0.o
Attractive Package
And you all FAIL (I'd have thought you got it Synacker)

"seeking a competent person to assist in the maintenance of the Company's windows network and Unix based manufacturing software and assist in the process of upgrading our manufacturing software to a Windows based system."
I think we're all right in some way or another, but yeah there's that too

I'm starting to feel sorry for this man.
Dammit I'm going soft.
HAHAHAHA windows. I dislike my windows software i have now for some reason.... :pirate :2tux
Hold on now, this is an application YOU were looking at, wasn't it? I am disappointed you don't think an "Attractive Package" offered is a FAIL. Hmmm...... maybe that is a plus for you then?

8---D > Meatloaf likey!

BTW, if they are using a UNIX driven system for manufacturing it most assuredly older than you are, maybe even older than me. Old UNIX programs are very stable but companies only keep them around because they are super cheap. Usually the biggest drawback they have is lack of database scaling. Certainly it would have been much better if they were going from UNIX to Linux but, then again they make fabrics and linens. What the hell do they know about computing?

In all seriousness though good luck on finding a job, it is a bitch out there right now. :thumbs

@Blue Are you speaking English? How did that weekly PC cleaning go? The moment you realize just how clueless you are I might stop picking on you....maybe.
The thing is, UNIX is working fine, so why would they need to upgrade to anything?

And I'm not going to lie, I've applied to be an adult film extra and a male escort so I don't really give a shit anymore (yes, I got THAT desperate)

If I had to guess their head of IT (I am assuming he is new just from the way the job title for assistant described the situation)didn't like it. The old UNIX programs usually were not very easy on the eyes(black/green)(black/yellow), and usually have no support for a mouse. (For the record I love the old black/green combo, but I am hella old school) Sometimes companies like to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading which is of course stupid, but most corporations have zero clue when in comes to their technology. When they start suffering from their new program crashing, bugs out the ass etc. they will probably realize just how good they had it. Plus if they are a "design" company they were probably easily wooed at a pretty new GUI. Being IT support for one company is generally VERY boring work. That is why turnover rate in the field is so high.

Can you design websites? I have customers asking me all the time but I simply don't have the time. I actually am thinking about getting one up for my company as well, but time is my enemy.

On the other thing, are you saying you prefer the company of a man over a woman? Curious...
