This is a tutorial on how to prevent a user from logging off.

There are many reasons for wanting to do this, one being that disabling Log Off can help users to remember to shut down their PC at night.
In this guide you’ll learn how to disable logging off from the Start Menu and Task Manager.

Note: This guide involves the use of the Group Policy Editor, which is not included with Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Basic or Windows XP Home.

Steps

How to remove log off from the Start Menu

1) Start the Group Policy Editor
Start > Run > “ gpedit.msc ”

2) In the left panel, go to
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar

3) In the right panel, enable
Remove Logoff on the Start Menu

How to remove Log Off from Task Manager

Start > Run > “ gpedit.msc ”
