I'd place a bet on these devices using Atheros based Wireless chipsets again, which most likely means promisc mode and injection mode will be available on these devices (Like with the CR-48)

mmmmm Good point, when i am off line i always have tons of downloaded torrents to keep me busy.

Edit: Hey speaking of witch do you think you could still torrent on a chromebook? like i know the torrents would have to be stored online but could would you still be able to torrent?

Not on the "chromebook", you can't do ANYTHING offline.
