How to mod your alarm clock! or just fix it. - Mark - 10-09-2010

Me, being the smart guy i am decided to knock my alarm clock off the side table when it woke me up. *This was unintentional.

As you'd image i don't think it was designed especially to be hitting floors, the impact resulted in the alarm arrow failing to spin round thus making the alarm in an alarm clock utterly useless.

1. Opening that sucker up.

2. Remove front plating protecting the arrows.

3. Removing the arrows.

4. After putting it all back together for the first time it seems the hand moved but the alarm was two hours out so back to step 1 we go. Modding on your desk, what could go wrong...

5. After opening it up for the second time it seems i'd managed to pull two wires out.. this meant breaking out my ultimate soldering skills.

6. Wallah, one clock, fixed.

Note to self: Don't break anything else. :thumbs

I am right handed, you probably now know why the mouse was on the left side.

Mark, please don't force me to consider your affectionate viewing of meatloaf's beer bottle again!
